Han (翰)-Lim (林) means the gathering of distinguished scholars.
Han (翰) refers to a mythical bird that soars above all others, viewing the world from a broad perspective — symbolizing Hallym University’s founding spirit of striving for excellence.
Hanbi Spirit (翰飛精神) represents the very spirit of Hallym University. This mark symbolizes the Hanbi spirit. The initials “HL,” shaped like a bird in flight, represent the outstanding talents of Hallym University. The letter “H” stands for Humanity, while “L” signifies Leadership.
The elegant form of the flying bird reflects Hallym’s progressive spirit and its aspiration toward the global stage and the future. The blue color represents the beautiful natural surroundings of Chuncheon, a lakeside city, and the turquoise symbolizes the dignity and vitality of youth. All these elements are unified in the singular image of a soaring bird—a symbol of Hallym’s bright future as it continues to rise higher and stronger.
Logotype
The logo is a key component of Hallym University’s visual identity, along with the symbol mark. It was developed using a unique typeface that harmonizes with the symbol mark while distinguishing Hallym University from other institutions.
Designed with a focus on visual harmony and legibility, the logotype serves as the university’s official emblem.

Emblem

Regulations for Using UI
- These UI regulations are integrated design guidelines for all visual communication media of Hallym University. Any modifications to these guidelines may compromise the original image and create confusion regarding the university's identity, as the UI must be used accurately in accordance with the established regulations.
- As the UI has been created for promotional purposes for Hallym University, it cannot be utilized for commercial purposes.
